Homework

¨ Pupils take home a reading book to read alone or share with their parents.

¨ Younger infants learn tricky words.

¨ Older infants have spellings to learn.

¨ Juniors have 20 to 30 minutes of homework in English, Mathematics and/or topic work per week.

¨ Juniors are also expected to learn multiplication tables and spellings. 

¨ A copy of the homework policy is available on the website.

 

The School uses a number of additional resources that can be accessed at home:

 

¨ Mathletics is used by Juniors to develop maths skills and is provided through Council funding.

¨ Story Bird is used by Owls to develop story-telling techniques

¨ Mathematics Target Booklets are issued to every child annually in September to allow them to develop their maths skills at home.
