Zoom Induction Meetings!

We are having zoom induction meetings with parents and children on Friday 3rd July and Friday 10th July. Invites are being sent through individual parent messaging on our Class Dojo Little Wrens page with the date and time of the appointments.

In the meeting, we will play a game and talk to children about things they enjoy as well as answer any questions about the transition to Primary School!

Transitioning to Primary School

Additionally to our paper pack sent to our new parents, on our Class Dojo page we are providing additional information and guidance on how to support your child on starting school! We will be adding a selection of different activities and resources to help children and their parents feel confident and ready for this transition.

This Includes:

 - Video tour of the school made by our Wrens children, discussing all of the parts of the school they feel are important

- Video Messages from staff to children and their parents

- Information on Growth Mindset and how to develop a growth mindset in your child.

- My first day at school - An interactive social story game all about starting Reception

- Tips to support the building of independence in children before starting school in September

- Wiltshire's Top tips for you and your child starting school leaflet

(Parents will socially distance drop off at the front door of the school and the same for collection)

Starter packs will be given out at this event. If you are unable to attend we will post the starter pack out to you.

If you have any questions Please contact the Admin team via email: or feel free to call 01722 712 322

September Stay and Play

I am pleased to be able to confirm that we will be holding a second Stay and Play for our little wrens.

This will give our Reception a chance to explore the classroom and outdoor space before the other year groups return. During the last stay and play we largely were out on our school field as the classroom was not in the layout which we would have when the Little Wrens start.

Wednesday 2nd September
1.30 till 3 pm

This will give the opportunity to feel a little more confident when starting school the following morning!

School uniform is not necessary However I would understand if it was worn to help with routine.

As before Mrs Davis and Myself will greet you and your child by the front door.

We are so pleased that we were able to alter the Inset to allow for this opportunity and we look forward to seeing you all!

Video Guidance to support starting school
