Eco Awareness
All pupils at Pitton CofE Primary School are members of the Eco Team as we work as a 'whole-school' approach!
What does being a member of an Eco-School mean?
We all help to care for our school environment by following our school pledge to protect the environment, monitor our energy use in the school and encourage teachers and children to recycle. We take part in discussions and votes and feedback any relevant information to our classes. We work towards goals through Eco projects, accreditations and awards!
The Eco Team were asked to think of a question that they would ask to Greta Thunberg ! Hannah was chosen by the group to record the question and we were lucky enough to have this answered by Greta!
Jam Board workspace leading to The Plastic Free Schools Award

We planned various activities for Save the Planet week. These included class sessions, learning about our impact on the environment, a bug house being made by the children, food tasting sessions, and workshops lead by Ruth Jennison from the THINK Project.
In addition to this, there was a non-uniform day in aid of ‘Just One Tree’ https://www.justonetree.life/
