Hope Day
Children are asked on Hope Day to wear non-uniform (or even the colours blue and yellow like the Ukrainian flag) and bring a suggested donation of £1. The money raised will be split between The British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal, the Salisbury based Foundation for Social Change and Inclusion that are supporting refugees from Ukraine to Moldova and also comic relief that provides support at home and who are also working with organisations supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine.
During the day we will be focussing on the ways in which we can help in these terrible times. We will also write prayers or reflections during the school day to support. In preparation for this Wednesday morning is dedicated to mindfulness where the children will take part in yoga, relaxation and breathing exercises to promote a relaxed atmosphere and openness to discuss thoughts and feelings.
